GUARACYAN CONCEPTS

GANGA - All that that manifests in a dubious way. Example: Nuclear energy.

GUARACY - In a Tupy Guarany language, Guaracy means Sun. It is the maternal Principle of Light. The spiritual entity who acts as mentor of Templo Guaracy. It is also a Phalange of Caboclos who, according to "Master Yapacani," forms a link between the vibratory Lines of Oxossi and Oxalá.

GUIAS - Necklaces made according to the fundamentals established by Templo Guaracy. They protect the carrier against negative vibrations. They represent the vibratory Lines through their colors or style. They identify the ritualistic rank within the community. They help in tuning in to the appropriate energies.

GUIAS ESPIRITUAIS (SPIRITUALGUIDES) - Mentoring entities responsible for the transmission of spiritual teachings. Ancestors inhabiting in the astral plane, knowledgeable of the fundamentals of the spiritual evolution.

HORIZONTAL - Term used at Templo Guaracy to represent the physical, mental, psychological, emotional and social dimensions. Logical state of consciousness. Dimension formed by ethereal or crystallized energies where no effect is superior or inferior to the cause.

IAÔ - Term utilized to designate someone undergoing initiation under the ritualistic precepts. Spiritual son/daughter retreated in a "Camarinha" to fulfill spiritual "obligations."

IYÁBACÉ - Medium initiated in the fundamentals of the culinary aspects of the tradition. Responsible for the preparation of offerings in accordance with the established precepts. Her function includes the indispensable care for the good organization of the house.

IYÁLAXÉ - She who knows the secrets of Axé. Member of the community, possessor of a high position in the hierarchy, responsible for the maintenance of "Assentamentos" and of the Axés contained in them. Her function within the religion is one of great responsibility and her knowledge is decisive in order for the precepts to be maintained.

KIUMBA - Fragment of negative energy responsible for the formation of electromagnetic fields incompatible with the vibrations of preexistent systems. Energetic influences without consciousness. Discharges not absorbed by the gravity of the center of the Earth.

LINHA DO ORIENTE (LINE OF THE EAST)- Term used to denominate the Light that comes from the East (Spirituality) and sets to the West (Science). Also call Line of the Gypsies, the Line of the East is responsible for the development of Science and its Spiritual applications. All professional activity must, above all, be connected to the Spiritual dimension. It is the Light contained in the Science. ORI - ENTE (literally: head of person). It is the Light that transforms the Knowledge of the Earth, in Divine Wisdom.

LUZ PRIMORDIAL (PRIMORDIAL LIGHT) - Original substance that, at some moment of Eternity, fragmented and created the world of forms. Abstract timeless essence.

MACAIA - Kingdom of Oxossi. Spiritual dimension of the forests. Spiritual meaning of Biodiversity.

MARINHEIRO (SAILOR)- Popular term used to denominate Spiritual Guides responsible for the development of our inner search. Protecting consciousness in the states of Solitude. It stabilizes the emotions through the constant pendulous movement. Inner Solidarity.

OBSESSOR - Spirit, incarnate or disincarnate, vampire of fluids.

OGÃ DE ATABAQUE - Percussionist initiated in the sacred rhythms. His knowledge is not limited just to the music, per se. The Ogã of atabaque (sacred drum) is characterized by his capacity through the drumming, to create a secure and harmonized field for the rituals.

ORÍ - Intermediary spiritual dimension. Center of spiritual intelligence. Place where knowledge is transformed into Wisdom. Field that determines our vibratory affinity with the "Babá de Orí" (the spiritual entity responsible for the spiritual development of the individual)

ORIXÁS - These are forces and Energies of Nature that, because of anthropomorphism, have been transformed, in the popular language, into "gods" or "demi-gods." Their attributes are those that maintain the dynamic of energetic life in the world. They originate from the four basic Elements: Fire - Earth - Water - Air. In Templo Guaracy, they are honored/worshipped in specific rituals. In Brazil, their costumes, precepts and doctrinaire characteristics have experienced significant influence of the colonizers.

ORÔ - Spiritual dimension which makes possible the connection between the internal and external vibrations. Instrument that connects us to Totality. Field that determines the vibratory affinity with the "Babá de Orô" (Orixá with its particular qualities). The Orô is to Instinct as the Orí is to Consciousness.
